I remember the first time I saw Robert Pattinson.

I was preparing for the local nursing boards in November 2008. My dear husband (whom henceforth shall be known as DH) had very nicely checked me in at a local inn for the duration of the exams. He told me that there was no way I was going to be able to concentrate at home because my mother was having the house repaired. So DH very generously agreed that I should stay at the inn for three nights. 

The Riverside Inn is a charming little hotel and my room was overlooking the river. It wasn't that much of a pleasant sight, but still. I was having a laid-back time despite being a nervous wreck. The exams were being held two days in a row and I was cramming myself with some last minute study. That's what you get if you don't attend review sessions! 

After the grueling first day, I was up in my neck with nursing research, I decided to take a break and watch some television.  The hotel offered a TV network that my local cable didn't so I was catching up with some of my favorite shows. Tyra was on and she was interviewing these cute young men, someone called Taylor Lautner and the other guy whom I recognized from the fourth Harry Potter movie. He played the role of Cedric Diggory in it. 

Rob Pattinson. I remember thinking to myself how much the young guy has grown up since the last Harry Potter movie! 

When I heard him talk in this amazingly deep voice with that sexy British accent and flashing Tyra his dazzling smile and infectious laugh, I was instantly hooked!  I recall how jealous I felt when he bit Tyra Banks on the neck! What a lucky b*tch! And I love Tyra! 

After finishing the boards and getting drunk with my nursing buddies, I decided that I wanted to know more about Robert Pattinson. So I was going to watch that little indie movie called Twilight. I watched it by myself, mind you! And of course, I was already in love! But it was my secret! I was afraid that somebody was going to find out I was pining after some 20-year-old actor!

I became hooked to a small website called Twitter. This was way before Ashton or P.Diddy, mind you! I joined Twitterverse on December 2008 because of Robert Pattinson!  The social media was my lifeline to the freshest, up-to-the-minute, and real-time Rob updates!  

I was secretly in love with this young man who has made my life so freakishly stalker-ish! I was hounding all over the internet scrounging for whatever information I could get my hands on! It made me love the saga of Twilight.  Twilight (the series) maybe poorly written and edited, but it has touched me in ways that I thought would never happen again. 

And that Rob got the part of Edward Cullen (the most perfect guy there ever was, except for the fact that he was a vampire) and Kristen Stewart as Bella meant absolutely sublime! 

The interest that these two people generate in me is astounding.  I would give anything just to catch some pap shots of these two together. 

And they are everywhere! They seem to have become the most photographed and the most hounded people in the world!  It's sad to see them both lose their privacy but despite it all, they still do their thing and try to spend as much time together as possible! *wishful thinking*

Almost two years later, I've come full circle. I've become a registered nurse, not only in my country but in one European country.  Rob has released two movies and still continues to make poignantly sweet music in his spare time, with K of course! My Robsession is as strong as ever and I am a self-proclaimed R/K lover!

I don't know if I want to stop. It may seem odd considering I'm married with a kid and all, but DH knows about this Robsession and it's OK with him! Woot! I have such a sweet hubby!  For now, I'm anticipating the frenzy that is going to happen in the coming months!
